Attach payment options

Before you can send an invoice, you must tick at least one payment method so your customer knows how to pay. This article covers the payment-options section of the invoice form.

Where the payment options come from

The list of available payment methods is set up by ATB for your organization. Today the only active method is Interac e-Transfer.

Step 1: Open the invoice for editing

Draft or edit the invoice. Scroll to the Payment options section near the bottom.

Step 2: Tick Interac e-Transfer

Tick the box next to Interac e-Transfer. Two additional fields appear:

  • Recipient email — where Interac will send you the payment notification. Pre-filled from your organization's setup.
  • Message to recipient (optional) — a short note that appears with the request. Your invoice number is added automatically, so you only need to write anything here for extra context.

Step 3: Save

Save the draft or send the invoice. The Send invoice button on the invoice detail page stays greyed out until at least one payment option is ticked.
